About Staggered Menu
Staggered Menu arrives in layers: coloured panels sweep in one after another, then the menu, then oversized numbered links rise with a stagger. It is a statement navigation for creative sites.
Staggered Menu is an overlay component for React 19, styled with Tailwind CSS 4 and animated with Motion. It drops into Next.js, Vite, Remix or Astro through the shadcn CLI as a single file you own.
When to use Staggered Menu
- Agency and portfolio sites.
- Fashion and lifestyle brands.
- Event and launch pages.
- Mobile menus that should impress.
How it works
Panels and links run on a shared timeline of delays. Escape closes, focus moves to the first link on open and back to the trigger on close.
It traps and returns focus correctly, closes on Escape, and is announced to screen readers with the right dialog or menu role. With prefers-reduced-motion on, it holds still or settles instantly instead of animating.
Customizing Staggered Menu
Every prop is documented in the API reference above with its type and default. The ones you will reach for first are listed here.
The Customize panel next to the preview lets you change position, stagger live, and the Code tab updates to match, so the snippet you copy already carries your values.
