About Notification Stack
Notification Stack is grouped notifications like iOS: a fanned stack that unfolds into a list when tapped, where each can be swiped away.
Notification Stack is an overlay component for React 19, styled with Tailwind CSS 4 and animated with Motion. It drops into Next.js, Vite, Remix or Astro through the shadcn CLI as a single file you own.
When to use Notification Stack
- Notification centres.
- Activity summaries.
- Grouped alerts in dashboards.
- Mobile app shells.
How it works
Collapsed, cards stack with offsets and scale; expanded, they animate into a list with layout springs. Each card is dismissible by swipe or button.
It traps and returns focus correctly, closes on Escape, and is announced to screen readers with the right dialog or menu role. With prefers-reduced-motion on, it holds still or settles instantly instead of animating.
Customizing Notification Stack
Every prop is documented in the API reference above with its type and default. The ones you will reach for first are listed here.
Style it with className like any other element. It only uses your theme's tokens, so it follows light and dark mode without extra work.
