About Curved Loop
Curved Loop repeats text along a curved SVG path and scrolls it like a marquee. Drag it to change speed and direction; it eases back to cruising speed when you let go.
Curved Loop is a text animation for React 19, styled with Tailwind CSS 4 and animated with Motion. It drops into Next.js, Vite, Remix or Astro through the shadcn CLI as a single file you own.
When to use Curved Loop
- Brand statements.
- Section dividers.
- Event and festival sites.
- Agency homepages.
How it works
Text follows a textPath whose offset advances each frame. curve sets the arc, and drag velocity adds to the speed.
The real text stays in the page for screen readers and search engines; the animated letters are decorative copies marked aria-hidden. With prefers-reduced-motion on, it holds still or settles instantly instead of animating.
Customizing Curved Loop
Every prop is documented in the API reference above with its type and default. The ones you will reach for first are listed here.
The Customize panel next to the preview lets you change text, speed, curve, direction live, and the Code tab updates to match, so the snippet you copy already carries your values.
- text (string).
- speed (number, default 60): Path units per second; the path is 1000 units wide.
- curve (number, default 120): Height of the arc; negative bows it downward.
- direction ("left" | "right", default "left").
- fontSize (number, default 56): In path units.
- separator (string, default " ✦ ").
