Charcoal UI

Terminus: Terminal app template

A terminal with taste.

For desktop dev apps and CLIs: a terminal hero, a keyboard shortcut showcase, tabbed features, a lifetime licence, a developer wall and a chat-style FAQ.

About the Terminus template

Terminus is built for desktop developer apps. A terminal hero, a keyboard that presses each shortcut, tabbed features, a pay-once licence, a developer wall, a chat-style FAQ and a one-line install close the page.

A terminal with taste. It is a complete terminal app landing page for React and Tailwind CSS 4, assembled from 9 Charcoal UI sections.

Who Terminus is for

  • Terminal and editor apps.
  • Desktop developer tools.
  • CLIs with a paid tier.
  • Indie Mac and Linux apps.

What is inside

9 sections, top to bottom:

  • Navbar Floating: A glass pill that hides on scroll down, with a gliding hover highlight and a mobile sheet.
  • Hero Terminal: Developer-tool hero: beams on a grid, and a terminal that types your install and dev commands.
  • Features Keyboard: A drawn keyboard that presses each shortcut in turn, for keyboard-first products.
  • Features Tabs: Feature tabs that auto-advance with a filling progress bar, swapping a visual on the right.
  • Pricing Lifetime: Lifetime deal card with a strike-through price, seats-claimed bar, end timer and refund promise.
  • Testimonials Tweets: Masonry wall of social posts that fades out at the bottom into a read-more button.
  • FAQ Chat: FAQ as a support chat: tap a question and a teammate types the answer back.
  • CTA Terminal: Developer CTA with a copyable install command beside a terminal that runs it.
  • Footer Minimal: One quiet row: brand, a few links and the year.

How it is built

Shortcuts are an array of keys and actions. Every section is a separate Charcoal UI section, so you can reorder, remove or restyle any of them, and the accent colour is one CSS variable on the page wrapper.
