About Blob Mascot Motion
Blob Mascot Motion brings the blob character to life. Fourteen animations cover the moments an interface needs: thinking while an AI works, talking and listening for voice, a notification badge, an alert, sleep, love, orbiting sparkles and a burst of celebration. It blinks at natural, uneven gaps, and its eyes can follow the pointer around the page.
Blob Mascot Motion is a display component for React 19, styled with Tailwind CSS 4 and animated with Motion. It drops into Next.js, Vite, Remix or Astro through the shadcn CLI as a single file you own.
When to use Blob Mascot Motion
- AI assistant and chatbot avatars.
- Loading, thinking and waiting states.
- Notifications and alerts with personality.
- Mascots for onboarding and success moments.
How it works
It builds on the free Blob Mascot and animates its body, face, eyes and mouth as separate layers with Motion, so every shape, expression and colour works with every animation. Speed is one prop, pointer tracking runs on springs, and reduced motion shows a still mascot.
Interactive parts are buttons or links with accessible names, decorative layers are hidden from assistive tech, and everything is reachable by keyboard. With prefers-reduced-motion on, it holds still or settles instantly instead of animating.
Customizing Blob Mascot Motion
Every prop is documented in the API reference above with its type and default. The ones you will reach for first are listed here.
The Customize panel next to the preview lets you change animation, shape, expression, color, speed and more live, and the Code tab updates to match, so the snippet you copy already carries your values.
