About Agent Progress
Agent Progress is a small status line for long runs: an orbiting glyph, a verb that rolls through what the agent is doing and a live timer, settling into a drawn check with your done label when the work finishes.
Agent Progress is an AI interface component for React 19, styled with Tailwind CSS 4 and animated with Motion. It drops into Next.js, Vite, Remix or Astro through the shadcn CLI as a single file you own.
When to use Agent Progress
- Chat headers while an agent works.
- Long generation or export jobs.
- Inline status in agent sidebars.
- Loading states that need more than a spinner.
How it works
Verbs roll on a vertical crossfade at an interval you set. The timer uses tabular figures, the done check is a drawn SVG path, and the line is a status role so the change is announced once.
Streaming and status changes go through live regions, every action is a labelled button that works from the keyboard, and decorative motion stops for people who prefer reduced motion. With prefers-reduced-motion on, it holds still or settles instantly instead of animating.
Customizing Agent Progress
Every prop is documented in the API reference above with its type and default. The ones you will reach for first are listed here.
The Customize panel next to the preview lets you change running, interval live, and the Code tab updates to match, so the snippet you copy already carries your values.
- verbs (string[]).
- interval (number, default 2.2).
- running (boolean, default true).
- doneLabel (string, default "Done").
